- At least half the bike reported stolen each year are stolen from around the home
- When not using your bike, lock it to something permanent
- Attach an anchor point to your wall or floor to secure the lock
Bicycles are stolen from almost anywhere. Outside shops, carports and unlocked garages, verandahs and porches, front and back yards, school grounds, parks and playgrounds, in the
street, railway stations almost anywhere. However at least half of all the bikes reported stolen are stolen from around the home
When at home: Lock your bike to something that's permanent and not easy for a thief to take. Secure it to a brick wall, a fence, or big tree or even the garage floor. Don't lock to another bike or a door handle. Even if it's in the garage lock it!
